Founder story

I spent twenty-five years building marketing technology for companies that did not need the help. DoubleClick. Responsys. Experian. Alterian. Big platforms, big budgets, entire teams of specialists to run them. The tools worked. They just worked for the Fortune 500, and everybody else got told to wait their turn. Then I started working with local businesses. A Window Tinting company. A surface prep company. A mortgage officer. A family counseling practice. Same problem every single time: they were invisible online and nobody could tell them why. The advice on offer was to hire an agency at five thousand a month, or to post more on Instagram and hope. One was unaffordable. The other was not a strategy. What got me was how solvable it was. Google rewards businesses that stay current, publish real content, and collect reviews. The AI assistants people now ask for recommendations reward the same things. None of it is a secret. It is just relentless, and an owner who spends the day on job sites does not have a second shift to give it. So I built Moxie. Moxie is the marketing manager these businesses were never going to be able to hire. She runs the Google profile, the content, the social posts, the review requests, and the reporting. Every day. At a price a two-truck operation can actually carry. We did not design this on a whiteboard. We built it inside our own agency, running it for paying clients with real revenue on the line. We still do.
