Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Traffiklist (“the Service”). By creating an account or submitting a product, you agree to them.

1. The Service

Traffiklist is a weekly launch board where makers submit products, get featured to a newsletter audience, and see click-through data on the traffic Traffiklist sends them.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a Google or GitHub account. You're responsible for activity under your account. One account per person — creating multiple accounts to vote or submit repeatedly is not allowed.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you submit (product name, tagline, description, logo, website link, comments). By submitting it, you grant Traffiklist a license to display, distribute, and promote it as part of the Service — including on the leaderboard, in the weekly newsletter, on social channels, and in the embeddable badge. You confirm you have the right to submit and promote the product you list.

4. Voting & anti-gaming

One vote per account per product, enforced at the database level. Votes cannot be bought, sold, or traded — Traffiklist never sells votes. Paid placements (Featured launches and advertising, described below) are always labelled as such. A product's outbound link is nofollow until it has both earned a small number of genuine upvotes and the product's site displays a verified Traffiklist badge (a followed link back to Traffiklist), at which point it becomes a do-follow link to the product's site. Paid Featured launches receive a do-follow link immediately. We re-check badges about once a month. If a badge can't be found we email the maker, and if it isn't back within 2 days the link returns to nofollow. It is restored as soon as the badge is back and verified.

5. Prohibited conduct

• Submitting content that's illegal, fraudulent, or infringes someone else's rights
• Creating fake or duplicate accounts to manipulate votes or rankings
• Attempting to disrupt or abuse the click-tracking or redirect system
• Scraping or reselling data from the Service without permission

6. Paid Featured launches & refunds

Featured is an optional, one-time purchase (not a subscription) for a placement in one specific ISO week: your listing is pinned in the top 5 positions of that week's board and included in that week's “Featured This Week” newsletter roundup. There are at most 5 Featured slots per week. The price is shown at checkout before you pay. Featured does not add upvotes or change how anyone else's listing is ranked.

• Featured+. Featured+ includes everything in Featured plus a written spotlight article about your product on the Traffiklist blog. We write the article from the brief you submit and may edit it for length, accuracy and style; we may leave out claims we cannot verify. Featured+ shares the Featured slots (at most 2 of a week's 5 can be Featured+). The 24-hour refund window below applies to Featured+ in the same way.
• Slot reservation. When you start checkout we hold your chosen slot for 30 minutes. It is only confirmed once your payment succeeds. If the hold lapsed and the slot was taken before your payment completed, we refund you in full automatically.
• Review. Featured listings go live straight away and are then reviewed by hand. If we reject a listing we unpublish it and refund the Featured purchase in full.
• 24-hour refund window. Refunds, including refunds for a rejected listing, are only available within 24 hours after your Featured placement starts — that is, from the time of payment for the current week, or from 00:00 UTC on the Monday your chosen week begins. After that window closes the purchase is non-refundable. Results such as clicks or upvotes are not guaranteed and are not grounds for a refund.
• Payments. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record and may add applicable taxes and show prices in your local currency. Refunds are issued to your original payment method and can take several business days to appear.

7. Advertising

Advertising is an optional, one-time purchase (not a subscription) for a placement in one or more specific ISO weeks. There are two placements: the sidebar ad (shown in the right column of product pages; at most 2 per week) and the feed banner (shown in the homepage board; at most 1 per week). The weekly price is shown at checkout before you pay. You can book up to 6 weeks in one payment, in any order.

• What an ad is. An ad promotes one of your live listings and is built from that listing's logo, name and tagline. If the listing is removed, archived or rejected, the ad stops showing.
• Labelling. Ads are labelled “Sponsored” and their links are marked rel="sponsored". An ad buys attention and tracked clicks; it does not buy a do-follow backlink or any search-ranking benefit, and it does not change how any listing is ranked on the leaderboard. Clicks that come from ads are excluded from ranking.
• No guarantee of results. We don't guarantee a number of views, clicks, signups or sales.
• Slot reservation. As with Featured, we hold your chosen weeks for 30 minutes while you pay. If the hold lapsed and a slot was taken before your payment completed, we refund the whole payment automatically.
• Refunds. An advertising purchase is refundable in full until 24 hours after the first booked week begins (00:00 UTC on that week's Monday). After that it is non-refundable, although we may refund unused weeks at our discretion. If we remove an ad for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we refund the weeks that have not run.
• Removal. We may reject or remove an ad, without refund, if the listing or the page it leads to is misleading, unlawful, harmful (for example malware or phishing) or otherwise breaches these terms.
• Discount codes. A discount code applies only to the products it was issued for, has no cash value, can't be transferred, and may be withdrawn or expire. Payments and taxes are handled as described in section 6.

8. Removal

We can remove a listing, comment, or account that violates these terms, including revoking an earned do-follow link if the underlying listing turns out to be spam, fraudulent, or in breach of this policy.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Traffiklist isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
