About MingList — Free Local Classifieds, Email Never Shown
What it does: MingList is a free local classifieds site — for-sale, jobs, housing, services, vehicles, electronics, pets — in 24 cities across 5 countries. The posting form has no email field and no phone field: you post under a display name, and every listing gets its own two-way relay address. Buyer messages are forwarded to your real inbox, your replies go back out through the relay, and closing the listing kills forwarding entirely. Who it's for: anyone who has ever hesitated to post an ad because it meant putting their personal email on a public page for every scraper to collect. Why I built it: I tried to sell a used bike and every site let me post it — as long as my email sat on the ad page. Not because the ad needed it, but because the reply path ran through it. So I built the version where it doesn't. Craigslist has run email relay for decades; MingList makes it the core feature, on modern infrastructure.

The problem
Every classifieds site puts your email address on the public ad page — not because the ad needs it, but because the reply path runs through it. The address gets harvested within hours and tied permanently to your possessions and location.

The listing form has no email field. You post under a display name, and every listing gets its own two-way relay address: buyer messages are forwarded to your real inbox, your reply goes back out through the relay, and closing the listing kills forwarding entirely. Both sides stay hidden.
What makes it unique
Most classifieds treat email privacy as a bolt-on; MingList makes the relay the core feature, the way Craigslist has done for decades — but modern, free, with no ads and no tracking. The posting form literally has nowhere to type an email.
